It's time for another ride on the merry-go-round! Jump on and join a group of artists/crafts-women as they link around the world and tell you a little about their lives in art and craft. This month's question that myself and 8 other women will answer is
" If you had the time/money etc etc, what new craft or art would you like to try this new year?"
There are so many things I would like to try such as making other types of laptop skin, try learning making prints such as wood cut or monoprints. Jeweleries are also something I would like to try. I am thinking if I can modify some of my work to be pendants or other form of Jeweleries.
I should think hard on this topic. I don't think it is ok for me to do only things I am doing now or in only the way I am doing. I have to find new way or new things.

I woke up so happy this morning after reading my mails. Of course it always makes me super happy when I sold something. But the another great thing is to read the article written by Pili at her blog In Love with Handmade. She has this pink owl and bird rain bought from me. I really love the new look of her laptop.

I read something about Twitter long ago and haven't figure out how to use it. Recently, I just used it a bit and find it is quite interesting and want to try out more.
I am very new, I guess the good thing about Twitter is that you will instantly know what other people are doing and their concerns. You may offer help or share your views. You can also share what you are doing right now. If you need help or you have any questions, you can ask. Someone out there may provide some help.
It takes time to build friend circles there. Once you have bunch of people to talk with, you will be busy talking and knowing what they are doing. I think at that time, it will be very addictive. So be careful if you want to use it.

This is inspired by the intricate petals of the flowers. This type of plants generate tiny sesame seeds and the flowers bloom from bottom to top slowly.
In Chinese new year, we wish people's life resembling the sesame plants that are getting better and better.
These days are Chinese Spring Festival or Chinese New Year. On the first day of Chinese New Year, my baby daughter wears new year cloth and looking at the goody bag given to her. It contains oranges, hong bao and some sweets. It is fun time for Children because they collect hong baos and mix with some children that they seldom see before.
Singapore is in the festival mood. There are many places filled with new year activities such as flower exhibition and new year specail show. We wen to the River Hong Bao that is near the Singapore opera house Esplanade. 
The place is decorated with traditional Chinese figures and other decorations. My baby explored here and there and had lots of fun.
Valentine's day is near. Why not considering a laptop skin for a gift for her? She will carry it all around with her in school or at work.

Order the Skins
I am in the mood of using brush and in love with lotus flowers these days. Somehow I have this color combination green and brown in my mind for a very long time. I just want to paint something with it. This is a first painting that I created totally from my mind without any references. Of course, you can see that the lilies are influenced by my previous lotus pond prints.
