Glad to be Back and Safe

I am glad that we are back and safe after visiting so many places in Germany and Sweden and taking so many flights and trains. I saw a photo in a magazine with little poppy bottles (see below). It was so cute. I thought I have to do something with these little cute poppies and this how the three poppies came up with.

The bottles and the table are collages with pretty patterns. I like to use collage to create vases.

This is laptop skin that I just made for a customer from the Little Flower Collage.  I found that the Chinese Calligraphy from Chairman Mao Zhe Dong turns out very nice. I like the style of his calligraphy that is free flowing, romantic like dancing.

The meaning of the word is :"How beautiful the scenery of the country that so many heroes become humble in front of it".

I am looking forward for another chance to cooperate Chinese calligraphy into my work.

Tulip Garden Flower Artist Laptop Skin and Root Canal Treatment

This is the Tulip Laptop Skin that I made for a customer order. If you love tulip, it is a lovely skin to have.

I went for my root canal treatment today in National Dental Center. I had my root canal treatment done at a neighborhood clinic and I still feel painful at the tooth. Thus I think I should seek some specialist help and went to the NDC.

To my surprise, the cost at the NDC is same or a bit lower than the neighborhood clinic. However the NDC is done by the specialist Endodontist with very special equipment that can look through your tooth nerve canal clearly. The clinic doctor is not a Endodonitst and doesn't have such equipment.

I always heard from my friends or on Internet that specialist root canal treatment costs much more. But in Singapore, this may not be the case and moreover the doctor is much more experienced because she is doing the treatment everyday. I guess next time, I should straight away go to the specialist although it is much more troublesome and time consuming for me to get there. Sometime, being lazy will cost you more time and money.

Moonlight Sonata Flower Moon Night Abstract Landscape Print and Laptop Skin

I love Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata and this was created while I was listening to this music on a rainy day.

 

I just made this laptop skin for a customer order. It is a fairly big sized laptop skin of 11 x 15"/28 x 38cm.

I changed the orientation of the skin from portrait to landscape by expending the painting on the horizontal direction. Meanwhile I also moved the flowers into appropriate positions. In this case, the image is not cropped from a bigger one and it retains the whole spirit of the print.  It's lovely and I like it very much.

This is one of the most popular laptop skins among the students. It was sold first to Vivien a National University of Singapore (NUS) student. She loves it very much and kindly send me the photos after applying the skin.

I like the cool black and yellow colors. The combination is wonderful. This laptop skin is featured recently in an Etsy treasure together with a collection of black and yellow or gold. These items are beautiful. Thank you very much FireGrog for assemble the collection.

I like late Chinese Chairmen Mao Zhe Tong's poem very much. They are romantic, elegant and splendid. I like his calligraphy as well. You feel that it is very free flow and full of spirit.

In this little flower collage, I put his hand-writing in the left. It means: "How beautiful the rivers and mountains, they attracts the attention of heroes of numerous generation".

New Studio and Dreaming Poppy Flower Laptop Skin

I have several requests on transforming the Dreaming Poppy into laptop skin. The original orientation is vertical. Finally I took some time to make it after settling down in the new house.

I got a new studio in the apartment with one of the rooms. It is small, but quite cozy and enough for me to paint and put up painting materials and books.

The photo shows a  corner of the studio with bookshelves and my paintings.

We all love the new place very much. I especally like the balcony as there is a play ground downstairs and I can watch my baby playing from the balcony.

Singapore is full of beautiful gardens and flowers. It is called Garden City. I get this inspiration everywhere. The only thing is that I need to use a good way to put them in the paper.

I like to use lines and patterns. The method is used in this painting. I love to explore more of the technique.

It's Friday again and a relaxing day. I am planning to attend a eBay seminar tonight and haven't done anything except printing these two 8 x 10.5 size prints today.

Summer Flower Prints and Laptop Skins

If you are familar with great Chinese painter Wu Guangzhong's painting, you would be familiar with the beautiful black lines he draw with Chinese ink. I like black lines.

This is a simplified version with less flower from the previous Summer Flower. The lines are more dominate in this painting and they are really beautiful.

LET Life be Beautiful Like Summer Flowers Laptop Skins and Prints

LET life be beautiful like summer flowers

and death like autumn leaves.

Guess who's poem is it? It is by my fariorte poet Robionathan Tagore. I was thinking of paint something for summer for quite a while. Although it is summer all the time in Singapore and I don't feel the heat (because I am used to it), I try to recall the feeling of the summer when I was somewhere else. I looked out of my windows and there is a huge tall tree full of pink flowers. The beautiful poem "LET life be beautiful like summer flowers" jumped into my mind.
