I am thinking of some new things for my store and products. Maybe I will include some free blog give away and some other new products. I have some requests for conducting art courses and I am thinking on that as well. I hope vocation can bring more new ideas for my art. Do check it out after June 15th.

Laminated Prints on Wood Block (LPWB)

Today is the last day that I process my orders before I am going away for about a month. These LPWBs are just produced for the orders. I love working on them and mount them onto wood blocks.

Spent most of the time today processing orders. Here is another magnet set made for the order. They are from my Flower Mountain and Little Flower designs.

I just found that I am the Most Popular Member in Dawanda. Wow, I am so happy. Thank you all for your support!!! I hope when you click it, I will still remain as the most popular one because the trend is changing all the time.

I am also preparing for visiting my parent and my sister in China. I'll be going away from the mid of next week and come back in mid June. Please make sure that if you need to order something, you better order before Friday 15th of May so that I can have enough time to process.

I was working on some orders these days. One of them is the lovely pair of rectangle glass pendants of purple and blue poppies.

It really involves a lot of try and errors to make glass pendants. If you are not lucky, after the pendant dries, you found that there are air bubbles inside and it looks so ugly. The pendant usually takes 12 hours to dry and it only shows when it is completely dry that there are air bubbles.

I found that some of the tiles will create more air bubbles and are very difficult to attache adhesive nicely. One trick is to wash them with warm soapy water. I don't know why. I just figured it out from the shapes of bubbles and look like there are oily things trapped in. I usually wash it using water before using them. I guess it is not enough and I use soapy water. It works much better now.

If you want to learn how to make glass pendants, just go to Etsy forum and search it. There are free tutorials there. But most important thing is that you have to try it out.

Autumn Pond Original Watercolor

As I promised to myself I want to do some original paintings whenever I have time. But it's really hard to paint if your mind is crowded with a lot of other things.

I love the wonderful colors of watercolor. Every time I pick it up, I just love it. But I guess I forgot a lot of things of watercolor painting, I just found that I didn't sign it.

One of my customers told me that she likes my Peony and Butterfly. But she would like to have the colors similar to Vivian Tam's HP laptop design. I like the color very much. It is really vibrant. It's a very good learning experience for me when I work with it to get the right colors.

I found myself busy with packing most of the time. Packing is such a tedious job. To protect prints and laptop skins, I need to cut hardboard according to the correct sizes. Then I put each piece into a protective sleeve. After that I tape it onto the hardboard. Of course, you need to write the addresses and I am so sacred that I will write them wrongly. I found I hardly have some good time for painting.

Finally I got one created that I think I like it to share. The romantic night with bright moon in a bamboo garden.

The square glass pendant is finished today. I started to make it on Friday. It takes many days to dry and complete. I think it is very nice for this piece to match some pink, gray, or white cloth.

The pendant sits in a pretty box for sending out tomorrow.
