Orchid 7


I thought I'll stop painting orchid, but this image always lingering in my mind. In some typical Chinese paintings, orchid, bamboo and plum flowers are great combination. I thought I also should paint one with orchid and bamboo.

Acrylic on heavy watercolor of paper of 140lb

Oh, this is very tactile. I love the sheer curtains, the dark shiny wood of the table and the swirling in the wall behind looks like thick round glass window tiles. It has a very cool temperature to it.

Thanks Marcella. Singapore is a very hot place that's why I found such interior for references.:-)

Thanks Jean! You paint the bamboo first than apply the white acrylic. With Acrylic it is quite easy as it dries fast.
