This is inspired by a photo from a fashion magazine. I bought the magazine from the Shanghai airport last year. I liked the magazine very much and felt that it can inspire me to do some work, although I have no concrete ideas what would come out then.

 I am thinking of using the two girls to do a painting for a long time. I like the posture of the two girls. Finally I feel that it may be a good idea to let them sit on a tree when seeing beautiful pink flower trees everywhere everyday in Singapore.

My husband told me that he likes the girl without solid hair as in the first post of Early Summer. It is as the follows:

I wonder which one you like the better. I found it lacks a bit contrast without the solid hair. To compromise I lower a bit of the hair tone and add the lines for the hair as in the first image. But I do like the second image as well as it gives more romantic atmosphere. 

I created my profile in the local Singapore art gallery Fill Your Wall. I uploaded some big original paintings there as they are too heavy to be shipped outside Singapore. My gallery is at HERE.

I found many interesting paintings and artist there. One of them is Sri Rages. She is very hard-working and bold artist with many beautiful creations. I hope you enjoy her work.

My baby didn't go to school the whole week due to the hand foot and mouth disease case in her school. She talks more and more complete sentences now. Suddenly she likes to say "Hear me mommy, I want this, Hear me mommy I want that". If I don't react quickly enough to her request, she will repeatably says "Hear me". So funny.

I managed to finish the Early Summer. I did a bit modification from yesterday's version. I just feel that the hair is better to be solid. I also raised the girl a bit higher to have a better layout.

The normal process of creating a print for me is to make a drawing of the whole painting, scan it into the computer and digital color it there.

When I about to erase the redundant drawing and found that it is actually quite nice to leave it there on the girl's face and the path. The rough drawing makes good contrast to the nicely traced flowers at the back. This also solved the problem of adding something in the front. I am not sure how you feel about it. You can check the details below:

Chinese new year is near. I am looking for some new cloth to wear. When I was at skinny time before having my baby, I can wear very tiny qi pao. But now I put on quite some weight and need to buy bigger one. The girl is inspired by my thinking of buying a new qi pao and new year tradition. Peony is an auspicious flower that brings wealth and longevity. It is a beloved flower for the new year.

The mood of the painting is from the above photo. I instantly fall in love with the picture when I saw it from the Internet.

This is a laptop skin that is just made from the Girl Reading Print. I like the color very much. It is laminated so that you can clean the surface using a wet towel. The laptop skin is made exactly according to the size that the customer required. I rearrange  a bit of the design to fit perfectly of the skin size.

This is a lovely design with a very traditional warm colors. It suits those who likes to wear brown, green, etc  earth colors.

I have a customer enquery on equestrian theme prints with a beautiful girl. I came up with this little girl that is added into the girl female series.

I guess she doesn't look quite like a rider. I need to add a hat and a pair of boots to make her a little horse rider. Somehow I like this relaxing posture. Maybe I 'll make another one later with a rider costume.

 

My baby daughter recently somehow always hug me and says: " I miss you". I am so moved every time she says so. This is how the posture and the expression of the girl came from.
