Lily Pang Art
Lily Pang Art and Design, Gardening, Painting
I am continue to work on the Spring Time Original Acrylic painting these days. There are some more details added in the far sight and everywhere else.
It is a very busy painting that is inspired by the flower filed in the spring time. May life is as splendid as the flowers in spring!
This is the laptop skin of
Tree in April design. This is for people who like vintage look art in their laptop.
This is another version of Tree in April. Few weeks ago, I painted the acrylic version of
Tree in April.
I like newspaper collage very much and also the music notes. It is very fun to play with them in this collage print.
The is the large print version. It adds very warm touch to the living area.
Baby loves to draw these days. She spent hours and hours on drawing. Most of them are little people with boys and girls, princess and prince. The small people are very energetic and you feel the strong flow in the drawing. It amazes me every time.
My garden is flouring these days. The murraya tree suddenly blossoms with so many white small flowers that attracts many bees. It has very strong fragrance lingering in my balcony.
The herbal garden is grown very well. The newly planted lemon balm from cutting stems. They all survive very well. I like to make a lemon balm leave tea everyday. It is very soothing.
The rosemary and Thai sweet basil are growing very well as well. I used rosemary to bake or fry chicken and potatoes. The dishes are totally changed once the rosemary is added. The smell and taste are so much better that the rosemary gets ride of the original unpleasant tastes of the meat or potatoes. The basil is used to add into tomato ham spaghetti. The pretty Lantana is nearby with beautiful bright yellow pink flower.
Monday is for packing and sending mails. These are the prints and laptop skins ordered for the last few days.
Cheering for their Party during Rally
I was in an emotional roller-coaster during last few days. It is my first time that I was so involved in the general election.
I am surprise to get the truth that there are so many people more than 40% that are not happy in one way or another about the current status of Singapore and their government. Some of the people who voted the ruling party PAP (People's Action Party) not because they are happy with PAP but they are not ready for the oppositions to govern them yet. If including these people, there may be more than 40% or 45% people are not happy with the PAP.
How will the government deal with it? Will Singapore be better off or worse tomorrow if PAP tries to soften it's policies and make people happy?
I don't like to see that Singapore is going into the direction like other so called democratic countries in Asia with so many different voices in the parliament and it is so hard to get things done. But I don't like to see there are so many unhappy people in the country either. What is the government all about? To me it is about to make people happy and live a meaningful life. It is really a great challenge to the Singapore government in the next five years. If it can still maintain rapid economy progress and at the same time make people happier, it will be the perfect government in the world.
But on the other hand, Singaporeans must be brave and ride on the waves of the changes rapidly happening in the world. Try to make the changes in favor of you not against you. The truth is that in the world where creativeness, ideas and capital are big commodities, the richer is getting richer and richer and poorer will be poorer and poorer. Nobody can help you better be the government or oppositions other than yourself.
I have a wonderful mother's day today. I had a surprise cup cake gift from my daughter who is studying abroad. My little one is so thrilled to see the colorful cakes.
This is the final result of the painting. I used texture paste to make textures of flowers, tree trunk and some of the background. It is really fun to work on it. This is my interpretation of the Tree in April blossom freely under the sunshine of April days.
It is a general election time these days. This is my first time to be eligible to vote. I just became a Singapore citizen recently. I am quite busy reading about election articles and attend rallies.
This is the continuation of the
Tree Painting. I examines the topic and feel that it needs something like texture to represent the flowers and tree trunk.
I went to bought acrylic texture paste and create the texture. I am thinking following some of the techniques I learned from the youtube to apply acrylic on top of it after it is dried. Let's see how it comes up in the next few days.
