I have spent most of the working time today to process the orders. The newly printed bird and rain laptop skin is really gorgeous.

I still have some more to process tomorrow. The post office will be close from Chinese New Year Feb. 14th till 17th.  I would like to send all the orders before the Chinese New Year.

It's Christmas time and these are boxes of joys. It took me 3 days to make them ready for shipping today. These glass pendants are all made with crystal clear hand-made beautiful glass tiles. They are all made from my own paintings.

I really like the green Japanese Garden long glass pendant very much. It is made from the Japanese Garden print.

There are still one and  half week time for Christmas shopping in my stores in order to make them as gifts on time. The shipping in normal case takes about 6 to 9 working days.

Moving My Store into a New Web Hosting Site

I have been very busy on some house hold staff and my new web site.

The thing that drives me very busy now is to set up a new web site for my store. Currently, I have my store created using Google Page Creator. I love it, because it is free, provides full control for me and it is very fast.

However, bad things happen now. Google is going to migrate my store to something call Google Site. It told me that I cannot do the things that I used to do in the new site.

The most important feature that I love is that Google Page Creator allows me to upload my own html file. I need this because I create my store using Dreamweaver in HTML. I also sometime host some other non sales pages such as friends photos and apartment rentals. If my store is moved to Google site, I cannot do something on Dreamweaver again. I don't like it because I feel that I loose a lot control to my store.

I need a new site to host my store. I did quite some search to find a good one. After evaluating many sites, I choose OrgFree.

My criteria for choosing it is simple. I need reasonable speed, easy ftp access, free web hosting, no ads on my pages and large storage space. I want it to be free at least while I am trying.

After trying many sites, I feel that OrgFree fits my criteria very well.

My new shop now is in Hostrator. It is not full-fledged yet, but the Laptop Skins, Jewelries and Magnets are all fine now.

I am thinking of some new things for my store and products. Maybe I will include some free blog give away and some other new products. I have some requests for conducting art courses and I am thinking on that as well. I hope vocation can bring more new ideas for my art. Do check it out after June 15th.

Yesterday was a bit busy and I didn't have time to put up the laptop skin in my shop. I managed to do it today.

I made several pedants for sending out today. It was very satisfying when you see them laying pretty in boxes.

It's Spring time. I remembered the excitement when Spring shows bit by bit. I guess you will be very happy to see some spring on your laptop.

Thank everyone who commented on glazing using resin post. There are many products out there such as modge podge and diamond glaze. They are used in a bit different ways. Modge podge is great to seal papers that provides glossy look. But it does not provide a raised dome look. Diamond glaze will provide raised glass dome look. But it doesn't grantee a clear glass look. Only resin do the trick that provides crystal clear glass look and raised dome.

But it is very difficult to use resin. It is messy, toxic and sometime you always get bubbles.

I haven't tried acrylic gel medium. I shall look into it sometime. There is something else such as 3D Crystal Lacquer. Check out this post Filed Test: Diamond Glaze and 3D Crystal Lacquer. It seems that 3D crystal Lacquer is much better. I am thinking to order one to try.

Resin Glazed Pendants and Earrings

I was working on charm framed pendants and earrings all these days. Initially I was trying to use diamond glaze because it is easy, not toxic. But I failed.

First, diamond glaze ruins my inkjet printed pictures. It always makes the colors of the image bleeding, even after I coated the image with acrylic coatings. Second, diamond either cracks or gives very cloudy look of the coating.

Finally I try to use resin. It is toxic and very troublesome, specially with a baby at house. But I don't know what else I can do and I love to try on these charm framed art jewelries.

I was given a lot advise and support from Singapore Esty Team. They powered many tips and tricks. It is such a great team.

I really like to thank Deborah, Cheryl and Ruth for their very kind support.

I put these charm frames on a box to cue to prevent dust settling in. I hope it turns out nicely when they are cued.

I am so looking forward to show some necklace and earrings soon.

This is the first box of jewelry I am going to send out today. It is a glass pendant of Peony and Butterfly. It is such a satisfaction to pack it in a matching box and ready to send.

It is very fun to work on Jewelries. It is very different from working on illustration and painting. I now understand why there are so many people making jewelries.

I am still developing charm frame pendants or necklaces with my art in a picture charm frame. Hope to show some tomorrow.

My Art Pendants

Finally I got a set of glass pendants from my art ready for my shop at Dawanda and Etsy. It still takes some time to be ready in my own online shop.

It's really fun and enjoying to make these pendants.

I thought it would be nice to be a model for these pendants myself. My husband helped me took these photos. The sizes of the pendants are very nice.

Actually one of them is already given as a gift when one of my friend saw me wearing it yesterday. Since she really appreciated it a lot, I just took it off and gave it as a gift.

I yet to setup my own store for you to purchase the pendants. For now, if you like any one of them, you can just using "By Now" button in the left column. You just describe the pendant that you like from the list to me.

Pendant Pendant

There were lots of activities today. In the early morning, I attended the Etsy VAST artist trunk show. It was so much fun to show my work in the virtual lab with virtual seats and gave virtual presentation. It was so early, actually I wear my sleeping cloth and did the presentation in my bedroom. Haha... This is so much difference from the presentation I used to do. I need to wear crispy business suit and skirt and spent a lot of time to make myself presentable as well.

I just got the pendant making kit yesterday and couldn't wait any longer to make my pendants. These are the ones I just made today and they are still drying on my working table.

You can see they are from baby owl, the kiss, spring, peony, the bird and poppy and the singing designs.

I'll add bails to the glass pendants tomorrow and show you more fancy photos.
