Spring Field and Flowers Sketches

I am planning to do some new paintings about flowers and spring fields. These are the sketches I did using my daughter's crayons. I draw them during my daughter's informal drawing session at home. She was very happy if I draw together with her.

Hibiscus and Bird Large Art Paper Print

Order the Print

This is a very large print of size 28 x 43"/71 x 110cm that is printed for a customer of Hibiscus and Bird print.

It is printed on art paper. The surface is laminated so that it will be protected for dirty and touching. You can wipe it using wet towel if there is dirty on the surface.

I try to hang it to my cardboard to take a nice photo.

To hang the print, you can frame it as usual. But I think it is best to mount it with a Adhesive Gator Board, a type of foam board with adhesive surface so that the print can stick on it for hanging.

I made a few Owl Blue square glass pendants these days. I like the bright blue background. It is very nice if you want to wear it with certain matching clothes such as white, pink or jean.

Magnolia and Bird Original Oil and Acrylic Painting

Order the Painting

I have spent sometime on the weekend to finish the painting. I want to put more colors into it by introducing the red and green. It was painted on 24 x 30"/61 x 76 cm stretched canvas and ready to  hang.

Since I have a child in my house and my studio is one of the rooms in my apartment, I don't paint oil using normal turpentine any more to avoid air pollution. I paint more acrylics. But I like oil much better because of the rich texture and color. I just found a new way to using oil by combing it with acrylics. I paint some part using acrylics and some using oils without diluting them using turpentine. The result is wonderful.

Magnolia and Bird Original Acrylic Painting -- Work in Progress

Some of my customers told me that they like my prints, but they would prefer an original version. I think I will take some time to paint some of the prints. It is fun and challenging to convert the print into a real painting.
