Dawanda recently created this project that everyone of us can participate if you are able to get a frame out of it.

I got a frame and it is no. 629. I have a lot of fun to participate in the project.

Lily Pond Reductive Original Linocut Print and Printmaking Exhibition

I managed to create the Lotus Pond using reductive printmaking method as well. The print is created by the several steps involving cutting and applying colors:

1. cut away the white flower part, apply pink color
2. cut away the pink flower part, apply green color
3. cut away the green background, apply dark green color
4. ink dark red in the plate and wipe away the dark red in the lotus leaves part in the plate so that the dark red only apply to the lotus flower bud

I like the pink shining through the  green.

I went to a printmaking exhibition last night in "The Blank Canvas" art gallery.  It is an exhibition of series of artworks by 8 emerging print making artists. I like this silkscreen piece.

Philippine Art

 

I went to the Barrio Fiesta held in the Singapore art museum last weekend. Barrio Fiesta is a street fiesta held in Provincial Philippines to commemorate religious occasions.

 

We enjoyed some of the Philippine food there and visited the art exhibition as well. I like many of the work.

 

I also get to visit the Wu Guang Zhong gallery. Wu Guang Zhong is a Chinese painting master. I bought many of his books at home and this is the first time I saw the real big paintings. I like his line works.
