I came across this blog "Inspiration Around Us". This week, it has a rose photo for inspiration. The roses are nice but it is a bit difficult.

I was initially not serious on working on it, just drawing roses for fun till the roses turned out to be interesting.

I sketched several versions of them, tried watercolor and finally settled on this illustration.

To add some interesting to the background, I add the Chinese calligraphy images.

I like how the roses turned out to be.
